As far as I know, regular Linux Telnet does not have the functionality required
to call rz and pass the transfer to it when it detects a ZMODEM signal. IN fact
I think Telnet can't detect a ZMODEM signal at all.

I think people is using minicom for serial file transfers but I don't know for
sure.
